The HECO-CUTTER-SMART Rootstock Cutting Machine by Zetaecotech is an automatic nursery equipment which is able to cut the Barbatelle rootstocks once the have been cleaned and prepared.
Nowadays, this phase is still almost exclusively done manually. Thanks to the innovative introduction of this patented equipment of the HECO Series, this manual process is now automated, enhancing the quality and the uniformity of the final product.
The automatic Rootstock-Cutting Machine HECO-CUTTER-SMART is equipped with an innovative computerized reading system that allows to determine with extreme accuracy in which position to make the cuts respect to the position of the bud.
The equipment is fully customizable and easily configurable by the operating control panel.
Our automatic machine (with one operator) produces 2,800÷3,500 rootstock pieces per hour divided into two different calibres that can be set, while a nurseryman can cut an average of 500÷600 rootstocks per hour. The new Scion Kit, on the other hand, can produce about 4,300 to 5,300 pieces of scions per hour, again divided into two different calibres.
Therefore, with the HECO-CUTTER-SMART the operators productivity during the rootstock and scions cutting phase is increased by 400%
The Cutting Machine of the HECO Series is totally customisable thanks to the managing and supervision software which was developed in-house, and allows you to cut any length, to count the cut material according to its calibre, to detect the buds and to carry out any other operation a worker could do manually.
The machine in its top version is also equipped at the exit of the machine with a transport system for processed rootstock conveying and discharge (transport belt). This system is managed and controlled directly by the machine by means of its Programmable Logic Controller.
The SMART version includes also many new features related to data control and management, and to interconnection with company computer systems (the latter to be provided by the end user), as well as a Remote Assistance System and Remote Machine Control.
